December 2016 Theme

HollyOur December Theme:
& The Giving Tree

We’re going around the world, to see how the Winter Holidays are celebrated in other countries!  We can learn about many fabulous festivals & celebrations: Hanukkah & Kwanzaa as well as more exotic ones such as Diwali, the Festival of Lights, Winter Solstice, Santa Lucia & Chinese New Year.  Of course, we will include
Christmas traditions such as singing carols, The Elf on the Shelf, and a visit from Santa!

Our own beautiful SEL (or “EQ”) tradition, The Giving Tree, begins December 1st and continues until the 16th.

The Giving Tree

The “Giving Tree”
December 1st – 16th

The “Giving Tree” is a beautiful holiday tradition we celebrate at Kinder Works.  Each year we decorate a tree with paper ornaments; each ornament bears the name and age of a local needy child.  Your child can choose one of these ornaments and become a “Secret Santa” for that child.

Visit our “Giving Tree” to choose an ornament with your child early in December.  Please return your gift in a gift bag, with the ornament as its tag, by placing it under the tree on or before December 16th.

Watching your child thoughtfully pick out a gift for a child in need will warm your heart!
